Welcome to the NEW EAST HAMPSHIRE YOUTH COUNCIL website. This is your opportunity to let people know what is going on, support your local band, get your points of view across and also find out about what the Youth Council and East Hants District Council can do for you. Youth Council elections are now finished and our first AGM went off really well. Our main thrust over the next 12 months will be campaigning for better public transport in East Hampshire and also looking into youth debt and trying as best we can to alter the negative image of young people that is often portrayed in the press.. We will also be involved in lots of other exciting projects such as Butserfest and its new style auditions Butserquest.
We have devoted half of our annual budget towards a grants programme for young people. Groups of young people can apply for up to £250 towards projects, equipment and some trips. For more information click on the link marked Money pot.
